Anonymous asked: I need advice! Do you think I should buy a Canon 60D and a 50mm f/1.8 OR a Canon 550D and a 50mm f/1.4? It's either expensive body + cheaper lens or cheaper body + expensive lens, and I don't know which one to choose! Keep in mind this is for indoor concert photography, that's why I'm asking you (cause I thought you might know a thing or two about that ;) )

Hi Anon!

I guess it all depends on what you’d prefer. I’m so rubbish with questions regarding gear I don’t have or know all the specs and stuff of. I’ll link you to some stuff that can hopefully give you some advice…

Canon 60D vs 550D vs 7D - which one is better?

Battle of the Fast 50mm’s: Canon f/1.8 vs f/1.4 vs f/1.2

www.digitalrev.com (Prices are really good and offer free shipping)

kayellaustralia.com.au (They’re Australian and their prices are so good)

I hope that the links above will help you make you decision! Let me know how you go :)

Anonymous asked: will a canon 60d and a 50mm f1.4 be good for a concert photographer's first dslr?

Hello Anon!
That is definitely a perfect combo for concert photography and everything else. I myself started with a 50D and a 50 1.8 and still love that combo to death! You will do so much with the 60D and 50. I wish i’d waited a couple months for the 60D! I just want to film haha
