where did you hear this??
It happened the week of Soundwave last year and he called for a chat and to say thanks for my work and help with promoing The Maine while they were down.

Quick story: Their tour manager was taking me inside their show earlier this year and Jared was walking out the back of the venue where we were entering and I had a moment mentally then composed myself, followed their TM inside the venue and left Jared be before their set started. Haha I probably should have introduced myself to him or something…..

As you may have noticed, I shoot a show anywhere between one show a month or one show every three months. “Distance makes the heart grow fonder,” they often say and honestly that applies to shooting gigs. If I shot a show every week I’d be exhausted, unmotivated and wouldn’t appreciate it. However when I shoot a show every month or so, I want it more, I am more passionate  and will yearn to shoot a show (this is why you always see me winging about shooting shows, because I always miss it!). Given the long gaps between shooting gigs I’m given the time to selectively chose the shows I want to do, to learn to improve my art, crave being in the pit again and most importantly let my passion for shooting shows go mental.

adore-rebel asked: I'm about to go shoot at festival hall tonight, I remember seeing you've shot there before. what are they like in terms of photographers? do they kick you out of the entire venue after your song limit? good luck on scoring Soundwave by the way! that would be the coolest thing everrrr!

You doing Hilltop Hoods? I had them on my list but never got round to chasing that up…. 

Depending on who the promoters are for example Frontier and Soundwave (to some extent) are strict as balls when it comes to photogs, you go in shoot, then they make you wait outside for the next set. Although sometimes they will let you stay inside toward the side of the stage to wait for the next set. 

You will be given a ticket along with your pass. So you would use that after your three songs but you would have to cloak your gear…

OH and you enter from the loading bay (i think that’s what its called) yeah I didn’t know photogs got in through there when i shot there the first time.

Soundwave has become a possibility. Currently giving ed some time to think about it, but it is a possibility. I swear I get excited about the littlest things.
